Soon after the announcement of the third instalment of Salman Khan’s Dabangg franchise, it was reported that besides the female lead Sonakshi Sinha, another actress would also be cast in the film. It was said that the second sequel will be set in a period before the events of the original 2010 movie took place. Salman was also reported to be romancing another actress besides Sonakshi, during those flashback sequences in Dabangg 3.
Shortly thereafter, speculations had started doing the rounds as to who would be paired opposite the Bharat actor. A few reports had also claimed that Salman is set to launch his niece Alizeh Agnihotri by the means of the film. Another set of rumours had it that he would be introducing his friend Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter to Bollywood with the movie.
Seems like the latter bit has been re-established as more recently, the reports have further been suggesting that Saiee Manjrekar is set to play the love interest of a younger version of Chulbul Pandey. “She plays Salman’s love interest and her role is primarily in the prequel. However, life comes full circle as the character has relevance to the conflict Chulbul is battling in the present,” the development as saying.
Earlier on, there were reports that Ashwami, who reportedly happens to be Mahesh Manjrekar’s elder daughter, will be foraying into the film industry. Now, the same report has claimed that Ashwami has no plans to make her Bollywood debut but it is her younger sister, Saiee. The rumoured to be-newcomer has reportedly already shot a major part of her role with the Race 3 actor. “A song will also be picturised on the duo,” the source further went on to inform the tabloid.
Talking about Kannada star Sudeep playing the antagonist in the film, the source was further cited as saying, “His character is more like the parallel lead rather than the stereotypical villain. He starts off on a positive track but situations eventually turn him into the bad guy. He is involved in a Tom and Jerry fight with Salman and there are several confrontations scenes between the two.”
