Alia Bhatt’s Kalank, James Wan production The Curse Of The Weeping Woman

When it comes to Friday, it is the best day of the week and all cinephiles will agree. The day brings new stories and dreams to the big screens while fulfilling some unrequited wishful thinking. And above all this, nothing is better than slouching down a cushioned chair and gazing at the 70mm screen. Being the first week of April, there are some exciting films lined up this Friday to tackle your different taste buds. So fire up some popcorn in the microwave and get ready to book your tickets. 

This week is Karan Johar next production and a multi starrer Kalank. Set in the pre-Independence era it weaves a story that showcases a lot like an SLB film. Besides this, Robert Downey Jr, Iron Man fame, will be seen in a movie based on Hugh Lofting‘s second Doctor Dolittle book. The star cast is pretty impressive that includes actors like  Octavia Spencer and Marion Cotillard, Tom Holland, Selena Gomez, John Cena and many more. This week, James Wan is back with his next horror production The Curse Of The Weeping Woman. Take a look at the upcoming movies.

Starring Linda Cardellini, Patricia Velasquez, Marisol Ramirez and Irene Keng, The Curse of The Weeping Woman revolves around the lives of single mother’s children that are endangered by an evil spirit. Set in Los Angeles in the 1970s, the horror thriller brings alive the Latin American legend of La Llorona, who is believed to stalk the night and prey on children.

Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Anna Todd, the films revolves around a young woman who falls for a guy with a dark secret, and all that happens in the course of their tumultuous relationship. Starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, it is touted as a romantic drama.
