Ayushmann Khurrana continues his juggernaut run at the box office as his recently released film ‘Bala’ which revolves around a man suffering from premature balding hits the bull’s eye. While the critics were impressed with the versatility of Ayushmann and couldn’t stop praising his performance, the audience too seemed to be on the same page as well.
The Amar Kaushik directorial has managed to collect Rs 9.75 crore on its first day and secured the thirteenth position in the best openings of the year. Not only that but the film also became the highest opening film in Ayushmann’s career as well.
‘Bala’ which also features Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in lead roles, is set in Kanpur and revolves around Ayushmann’s character, whose suffering from premature balding which results in lack of confidence and societal pressure.
The film has surpassed the opening day collections of Ayushmann’s last release ‘Dream Girl’ which had collected nearly Rs 9.43 crores. ‘Bala’ has also managed to leave behind the likes of Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika’ and Ajay Devgn’s multi-starrer ‘De De Pyaar De’.
The film released across 3000 screens in India and more than 550 screens in the overseas markets has managed to allure the audience to the theatres and the remarkable performance by the ensemble cast has impressed all.
