‘Batla House’: Mrunal Thakur learns gun shooting for the John Abraham starrer

After impressing the audience in her last film ‘Super 30’ with Hrithik Roshan, Mrunal Thakur is all set to take her acting chops a notch up in her upcoming film, ‘Batla House’ starring John Abraham in the lead. The actress learned how to use a gun for the film which is inspired by true events around the Batla House encounter. Mrunal, who plays the wife of DCP Sanjay Kumar in the film, had to assemble and dismantle a gun real quick for a scene. She had never held a revolver earlier and therefore equipped herself into its functioning for the film. Though she found it difficult originally, with practice, Mrunal got a hang of it.

Speaking about the same, Mrunal said, “It was a delight to work with Nikkhil Sir specially also because it is such a well researched film. One of the most challenging scenes in the movie was when I had to load the gun with bullets without even seeing it and also say my dialogues and what made it challenging was that Nikkhil Sir wanted me to do this scene a certain way.”

‘Batla House’ is directed by Nikkhil Advani and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T-Series), Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani (Emmay Entertainment), John Abraham (JA Entertainment) and Sandeep Leyzell (Bake My Cake Films).
