One of the most-waited Hollywood films of 2019, Star Wars Episode 9, finally got a title last night at the Star Wars Celebrations being held in Chicago, US. Director of Epsiode 9, JJ Abrams and Lucas Films chief, Kathleen Kennedy, along with the rest of the main cast of the film, including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Issac, Billy Dee Williams and several others, unveiled the title of the upcoming Star Wards saga film – Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker. The team also released the film’s first teaser trailer.
The trailer stars with Rey in a desert and then a Tie Fighter comes charging towards her and she does an awesome flip. Though, we don’t see the face of the pilot flying the Tie Fighter, but fans are speculating that it might be Kylo Ren. We also get glimpses of the Poe Dameron and Finn. General Leia hugging Rey got fans teary-eyed, as actress Carrie Fisher passed away untimely last year.
Of course, the shot with Billy Dee Williams reprising his role of Lando Calrissian, flying the Millenium Falcon with Chewbacca was a delightful sight. However, the money shot was at the end of the trailer – we we hear the laugh and fans can recognise that fiendish cackle anywhere – it is Emperor Palpatine and yes, he is alive.
