Kabir Khan’s ’83 is easily among the most awaited Hindi films of 2020. The sports drama is based on India’s historic win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup under the captainship of Kapil Dev, and features Ranveer Singh in the role of former skipper.
Ranveer, along with the film’s supporting cast, is currently in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, acing his cricketing skills before the film begins shooting in London next month. The team ’83 is training hard at the city’s HPCA stadium.
The makers, on Friday, shared a brief video giving us a peek into the preparations. It features Ranveer and the boys sweating it out at the gym, training with the respective real-life players they are going to portray in the film and simply having a fun time on the field.
Talking about ’83 in an interview, Kabir had earlier revealed that the film will be shot in London over a four-month schedule between May and August. He shared that the cast was training for three hours every day to understand the nuances of the sport. The filmmaker also disclosed that the film will feature motivational music, which will be composed by Pritam.
