Salman Khan confirms he is not a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah

Days after it was announced that Sanjay Leela Bhansali decided to shelve Inshallah, co-starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, the actor has reacted to the row and revealed the actual status of the film.

During a media interaction, Salman recently told reporters that Inshallah will be made, but not with him.

Answering one of the reporters’ question, the actor smilingly said Inshallah, Inshallah and immediately clarified that he isn’t talking about the film and left everyone laughing. He then addressed the rumours surrounding Inshallah, the film, and said, “Abhi Inshallah nahi ban rahi hai… Inshallah kuch aur banegi, mere saath toh nahi ban rahi abhi.”

Ever since Salman announced that Inshallah is not happening, his fans were heartbroken. Rumours were rife that the decision to shelve the big-budget film arose out of creative differences between filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman. But neither the director nor the actor has addressed the rumours pertaining to their creative differences.

Salman and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have previously collaborated on Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Khamoshi – The Musical among others. Salman had also appeared in a cameo role in Saawariya, starring Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.

Alia, meanwhile, accepted the decision as God’s will. She recently shared that she was extremely excited to work with both Salman and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Sharing that sometimes things are not in one’s control, Alia also joked about how if one wishes to make God laugh, one should just simply tell him about their personal plans but things rarely ever go as planned. But the actress also confirmed that she will be working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali soon.

The actress, in fact, has often been snapped outside the director’s office even after the film shelved. Further information on Alia’s film with Bhansali is yet to be shared.
